ALEX SANCHEZ  

Alex Sanchez is a computer programmer by trade, and his favorite hobby is playing his guitar on the worship team at Life Mission Church in KCK. 

 

REDUCE TAXES

Alex has lived in Wyandotte for almost 10 years. Over that time, he has experienced the astronomical property tax increases like most other Wyandotte citizens. Even if you are a renter, these expenses are being passed along to you. He is dedicated to reducing and eventually, responsibly eliminating property taxes. The idea that taxes can be raised every time they have a new project or have a short fall, must be stopped! If a government entity has an excess in their accounts, it means that they collected too much in taxes.

GOVERNMENT TRANSPARENCY

Alex is also dedicated to seeing that government is transparent and accountable to those that it serves. Every citizen has to budget according to the income that they have. The government should do the same. He believes that there should be external audits with the results made available to the public.

BETTER EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES

Alex is very concerned that we are failing our KCK students. Money that is coming into the school districts most often stays at the top in upper management and fails to make it to educators and students. Also, Star Bond funds are often not used for the projects that they were represented to the voters. He is working on a bill to make sure that bonds are used with honesty and integrity.

 

He is working on the KCKCC Board of Trustees to lower your taxes and see that the college is operating efficiently and using tax dollars wisely to help prepare students to enter the workforce in KCK.
